This past June we invited everyone to enter the realm of St. Anthony of Padua and immerse yourself in a divine blend of harmony with
Renée Mura, Nataliya Nikonova Schoen, Venus Fu, and Lorraine Wallace,
collectively known as the talented
Those in attendance were swept away by their celestial music, and God given talents of these musicians.
In addition, our guests were treated to a performance by our esteemed guest soprano, Ami Bouterse,
whose rendition of the Samuel Barber Agnus Dei left those in attendance mesmerized.
Each note was truly a verse brought to life by the artistry and fervor of these talented musicians.
At various times during the year, St. Anthony has had the honor of hosting beautiful concerts and following receptions. We have had a number of different musicians (some from our own parish) come and play music to help us enjoy not just the harmonies and melodies, but our focus on God’s presence and influence in our lives. Two concerts are pictured below; For the Glory of God and the 7 Last Words of Christ.
On occasion, St. Anthony’s will celebrate major milestones in the lives of its parishioners. One such event was held during the 10 AM Mass, on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Married couples that were celebrating 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, etc. anniversaries, during the calendar year, were recognized and received a special blessing from Father Todd. A small reception was held following the Mass in the parish Gathering Space for any members of the parish family that wished to congratulate these couples and to celebrate with them.
Below are photos of the happily wedded couples that participated in this event. From left to right are Greg and Dianne Jones (15 years), Fred and Barb Nyara (40 years), and Alan and Jane Padlock (45 years). Congratulations to you all!
